COCAINE TO ROGAINE

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)

I was twenty years old had hair on my shoulders
singer in a band never thought i'd get older
drinkin jim beam and party every night
with girls in the bar with their pants so tight

We'd go out for breakfast at two in the morning
to soak up the whiskey then puke without warning
make love to my girl for the rest the night
pass out in her arms cause it felt so right

Roll out of bed around noon thirty
got a pain in my head and i'm kind of thirsty
pop a couple of advil to kill the pain
start makin plans to do it over again

(CHORUS)
But i've gone from cocaine to rogaine
seems like over night
what happened to those days
when i could stay out all night
my hair is getting thinner im losing it with time
from cocaine to rogaine it aint worth a dime

Now i'm forty years but look older then that
the lack of hair on my head makes me realize that
i dont see as good as i could back then
girls that turn me on now where ugly back then

Now i've got joints that ache, but i had joints to burned
the buzz in my head is just a big blurr
and some things i can't remember at all
the only thing thats high is my cholesterol

Now i drink hot tea before bed at ten
i still get lucky every now and then
i still have some feelin down where it counts
i dont need viagra what she talkin about ?

(CHORUS)

GRASS GAS AND DOG SHIT

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)

I wake up in the morning the sun is rising slow
i heat up my instant in the microwave before i go
got a long day ahead of me ,got lots of grass to mow
don't know if i'll beat the rain but this is what i know

(CHORUS) Grass gas and dog shit is what i smell like every day
i can take a shower but the smell wont wash away
the aroma lingers around me from the early crack of dawn
grass gas and dog shit is what i smell like all day long

There's a place i call the kennel reasons not need told
dog mines all around i hit em when i mow
yea i fling em hi i fling em low theres dog shit flyin when i mow
the awful smell flys up my nose
and this is why i say

(CHORUS)

Well gasoline has a unique smell a smell of its own
sometimes it burns my eyes it"ll clear up my headcold
sometimes when i"m fillin, i'll spill some on my jeans
oh but grass gas a dog shit just a way of life for me

CHORUS

Now i come home in the evening its been a long day
of mowing grass
Now i feel a little horny i want to get alittle piece of ass
but the aroma that lingers around me dont turn my women on
grass gas a dog shits what a smell like all night long

(CHORUS)

I WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)
There is a place called heaven I want to go there to stay
Hell is where I been living
the day that you passed away
(Chorus)

The day they laid you in that cold hard ground
I should have laid there with you
now I want to go heaven
and spend eternal Me with you
(Lead)

Too much time has come and gone
with in that time I've felt pain
so I want to go where you'll be found
and hold you in my arms again
(Chorus)

FEELIN' DOWN

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)

Well I wake up at night when the sun goes down I got to sleep when the sun comes up drinking all night make my head spin around all this night life gets me down feelin' down been feelin' down I can't lose these blues of feelin' down

I Sing and I drink and I drink and I sing and I play my music when the sun goes down but you gotta pay your dues to sing them blues would have been better off bein' a rodeo clown feelin' down been feelin' down I can't lose these blues of feelin' down

My daddy don't like that my hairs to long he says stop playing those damn honky tonks get a good job settle down you know that will make me feel down feelin' down been feelin' down I can't lose these blues of feelin' down

Well cops always on me like flees on dogs always feel like an old butchered hog truck don't run it's broke down can't never seem to get myself around feelin' down been feelin' down I can't lose these blues of feelin' down

LIFE IS HARD ON A WORKING MAN

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)

Work all day, sometimes all night
No time for love, and I'm too tired to fight
I live each day the best way I can
But life is hard on a working man

Early each morning starts the routine
A hot cup of coffee runs the working machine
I'm out the door just as soon as I can
I got to punch that clock to run the working man

(Chorus)
Well the working man breaks back all day Tries to
make ends meet, with too little pay Working man
gets by the best way he can But life is hard on a
working man

Tax man came took everthing away Turned out to one
miserable day I worked hard all my life to be a
company man Now they want to lay-off this working man

Well the working man breaks back all day Tries to make
ends meet, with too little pay Working man gets by
the best way he can But life is hard on a working man

RIDE WITH THE WIND

Written By: Frank Wicher (C) 1986

I've been everywhere, but I've got nowhere
I've been high, and I've been down
Sometimes I wonder where my future lies
Will I live, or will I die

Some people say that I'm a crazy fool
That I'm liv'in my life too fast
But they don't know, I got somewhere to go
I wanna get there, and get there fast

( Chorus)
So I'm going out to ride with the wind
Leav'in behind what I've done
Yea, I'm going out to ride with the wind
And I'll probably never blow this way again

I've been a poor boy most of my life
Try'in to get by on my own
But it ain't so easy to get by these days
When you feel like your being owned

The bank owns my car, and the bank owns my house
There ain't nothing I can say that is mine
But there's two things they can't take away from me
Thats my soul, and my piece of mind

So I'm going out to ride with the wind
Leav'in behind what I've done
Yea, I'm going out to ride with the wind
And I'll probably never blow this way again

TIME FLIES BY

Written by: Frank Wicher (c)

Time flies by, where does time go?
People say you must roll with the flow
But I can't recall when I was twelve years old
Time flies by, where does time go?

Can't stop the world go'in around the sun
Can't tie down a man that has to run
The age in my eyes makes me look old
Time flies by, where does time go?

I've raised children of my own
Soon they'll have children of there own
I'll miss the time when I cared for them at home
Cause time flies by, where does time go?

Now the evening sun is going down
Another day has come and gone and won't ever come around
If I will see tomorrow only God will know
Time flies by, where does time go?

LIFE IS A HARD ROAD

Written by: Frank Wicher (C)

You got to know where going and remember where you've been Life is a hard road my friend There's ups and there's downs, there's twist and there's turns You got to read the signs along the way to keep from getting burned.

It starts when you are a baby, just learning how to walk
Every now and then you take a fall
So get back on your feet for another time around
And brace yourself from the force that knocks you down.

(Chorus )
You got to know where going and remember where you've been
Life is a hard road my friend.

Well getting by ain't easy, especially these days
You got to follow your dreams, they'll help you find a way Every now and then you'll come across a detour sign Love in your heart will keep you between the lines

You got to know where going and remember where you've been Life is a hard road my friend.

When the love of your life has taken a wrong turn Just be glad that you had love cause from that you will learn Some times you won't know what direction you should go Cause either way you choose, life's a hard hard road.

You got to know where going and remember where you've been Life is a hard road my friend There's ups and there's downs, there's twist and there's turns You got to read the signs along the way to keep from getting burned
